My Love Affair With Planes, Traveling and Blue Skies

For many of us, the idea of spending weeks or months away from home can be daunting. It’s easy to imagine the big, scary unknown. But for a traveler, there’s also the exciting prospect of exploring a new place and meeting new people.
There’s a certain comfort in knowing where you’re going and that your departure time is set in stone. But for anyone who has ever stepped foot on a plane and set off into the unknown, it’s a thrilling adventure. Traveling is not just a way to get to know a new place, but also a way to see it through fresh eyes.
Getting out of your comfort zone is an important part of growing as a person. It can be invigorating and empowering to be able to leave your hometown and explore a new place.
Even as a child, we were intrigued by the idea of planes and traveling.
I remember asking my parents about it as soon as I could understand questions about leaving my hometown and explore new countries, cultures and historical sites. The idea of seeing everything from above, was daunting and exciting at the same time.
The Beauty of Blue Skies
Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, you can maximize your experience by appreciating the beauty in the surrounding. The blue skies, the white clouds and the beautiful shades of the oceans, forests and mountains are all things that are picturesque and wonderful. When you are thinking about traveling, be sure to visit places where you can have their beauty in your eyes.
My love affair with blue skies is long-lasting.
As a Greek, I’ve always been fond of the color blue and specifically in winter time when most people are home. This always reminds me of a famous song sung by Frank Sinatra ” Volare”.
Here is the translation of the first part of the song.
Traveling for a change
While we may prefer to travel by plane, there are many people who think they should leave the flying behind and travel by car. The only way you can truly appreciate traveling by car is by doing it.
The advantage of traveling by car is that you can look around you.
The plane offers other benefits such as:
- you can travel to your destination as fast as possible.
- you can visit many places in a limited period.
- if you travel for business you will be more productive
the risk of accidents is lower by plane than by car.
